New Chinese OEMs in the CRS
The range of electric cars from Chinese OEMs in Europe is rapidly increasing. Various Chinese makes have therefore already been added to the Crash Recovery System, such as the cars and buses from BYD, the largest manufacturer of electric vehicles in the world, Lynk & Co, NIO and Xpeng. New makes are again now available in the CRS and more are planned.
New OEMs
Incidents with EVs are unfortunately not rare, which is why Moditech is making every effort to continuously expand the database and provide it with the latest makes and models. This means that first responders worldwide are quickly and easily supported with up-to-date and essential vehicle information. In the July and August database updates, the Aiways U6, four models from LDV, three models from Maxus, the Mobilize Limo and the Ora Funky Cat have been added. Models from BYD, Lotus, Maxus, Wey, Xpeng and Zeekr will be added in future database updates.
Recognisability
When querying via the registration number or chassis number is not possible in the case of an incident involving these vehicles, a logo will soon be sought to start the manual selection process. Since the logos of these relatively new makes will probably not immediately be recognised, we are happy to help with the images below.
