Database update July and August 2021
In July and August, the CRS database has been substantially updated with new vehicles, and existing CRS Rescuesheets have been improved. Also a new category has been added, namely Motorhomes. This is what we have added or improved per category:
CARS AND VANS
The full-electric Audi’s Q3 PHEV, Q3 Sportback PHEV, Q4 e-tron, Q8 PHEV, Honda HR-V HEV, Hyundai Ioniq 5 EV, Mercedes S-Class Hybrid, Opel Corsa-e Rally and Volkswagen ID.3, ID.4 and Tiguan PHEV are new in the database. The Acura MDX, TLX, ILX, GMC Yukon (XL), the new Ford Bronco (multiple variants), Hyundai Elantra HEV, Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring Hybrid and the iconic Chevrolet Corvette cabriolet have been added to the US-database. Also new in the cars and vans category are the Aston Martin DBX, DS 9 from DS Automobiles in both the petrol and PHEV variant, Fiat E-Ducato (Van, Day Cab and passenger van), Hyundai Bayon, Isuzu D-Max (single, extended and double cabin type), Kia Carnival, Kia K5 (Optima), Mercedes-Benz C-Class (4dr sedan and 5dr wagon), Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Renault Express (Van and passenger van) and the Volkswagen Taos.
Improved in this update are the Ford Focus (5dr hatchback and wagon), Ford Puma 5dr SUV (2019, 2020 and 2021) and Lincoln Corsair (US database).
TRUCKS
We have added the whole range of the new Volvo FM and FMX in all its cab variants. New are also the DAF XF, XG, XG+, Ford F-Max and the Renault D 2.1 and D Wide Electric in different variants. Furthermore, we have added the Scania P410 with an electrically powered loading crane from Vlarotech. Read more about this vehicle in this article.
BUSES
Within this category, the existing Rescuesheets of the Mercedes-Benz E-Citaro and E-Citaro G have been updated and expanded with the new ISO symbols for the location of the air conditioning, lifting points and chassis suspension.
SPECIAL VEHICLES
The IJveer electric ferry of GVB Amsterdam has been added to this category. They are built by Holland Shipyards and powered by a diesel-electric plug-in hybrid propulsion system. The boat is displayed in the Crash Recovery System by one side view and multiple top views. This makes the information available per deck. The 2getthere shuttle in this category has been updated and expanded with the new ISO symbols for the location of the air conditioning and lifting points.
MOTORHOMES
With the addition of eight motorhomes from the Volkswagen California family to the Crash Recovery System, a new category has been created. We have included the following (modern) models:
T5 California (2003 – 2009) and T5-GP California (2009 – 2015)
T6 California (2015 – 2018 ) and T6.1 California (2019 – )
Caddy California (2020 – ) and Caddy California Maxi (2020 – )
Grand California 600 (2021 – ) and Grand California 680 (2021 – )
