Could you introduce yourself and Brandkåren Attunda?
My name is Jonatan Erkstam and I work as firefighter at Brandkåren Attundas fire station in Upplands Väsby, Sweden. Brandkåren Attunda is a coalition between six different municipalities with seven fire stations.
What kind of CRS edition and platform (Windows/iOS/Android) is used by Attunda?
We use the CRS on our Android tablets.
Why do you think there is a need to use the CRS?
With everything that has happened and will happen with vehicle development, there is a need for first responders to have tools and resources that are up to date in order for us to be able to do our job safely and effectively.
In which way do you benefit from using the CRS?
We get a preview of what to expect, even before we arrive at the scene of the accident. During our work at the scene of the accident, we can make sure that we don’t do anything that will worsen the situation, and also, it takes the guesswork out of what we do.
What kind of road accidents does Brandkåren Attunda encounter?
We encounter both car accidents and accidents with other kinds of vehicles. However, the latter is more uncommon. We also face vehicle fires without a preceding accident more and more.
What is essential for first responders to know in these accidents?
In all accidents involving vehicles, first responders need to know how to extricate the people in the vehicles safely. Also, what kind of dangers the personnel can encounter during work at the scene of an accident. With all the new technology, first responders need to know a lot to extinguish a fire in vehicles.

The CRS is becoming, or might already be, a necessity for all fire departments around the world!
