New Holland tractors added to Crash Recovery System database

After adding the Agricultural Vehicles category to the Crash Recovery System (CRS) database recently, we have been working hard to add the first tractor manufacturers. In this update we have included New Holland models up to about 10 years old and brand new models. Tractors from Case-IH and Steyr will be added in upcoming data updates, followed by other makes such as John Deere, Fendt and Claas.

The New Holland models added to CRS in the November 2021 data update are the T4, T5, T6 and T7 (with diesel engines) and the T6 Methane Power. The latter is the world’s first mass-produced tractor to run on 100% methane. In the near future, the T5.140 hydrogen tractor will also be included in CRS. This tractor is equipped with an internal combustion engine powered by diesel and hydrogen, which results in a significant reduction of it’s CO2 and NOx emission.

With the addition of these tractor models to CRS, first responders at the accident site have the relevant information available. In addition to the manual model selection, the rescuesheets of these tractors can also retrieved by entering their dutch numberplate in CRS. In the Netherlands, registration of all agricultural vehicles is mandatory, so this feature is available in CRS.
