Truck with electric combination crane in CRS
The development of trucks in the market has resulted in more vehicles with an alternatively powered construction such as electric cranes, electric hook loaders and electric cooling units. A good example is a nice piece of workmanship that Vlarotech recently provided.
Vlarotech Carrosserie & Hydrauliek Specialist, situated in Benningbroek, North Holland, proudly built and delivered an electrically powered hook loader combination crane for the HHNK (Hoogheemradschap Hollands Noorderkwartier [Water Authority for North Holland]). A Scania P410 8×4 is equipped with an HMF 224322 crane. This crane works with a remote control and also has a manual control on the valve block. The HHNK selected a Hyva 26 tonne hook loader system as the hook loader. The crane as well as the hook loader are powered electrically by an E-Hydro Power power train, where no concessions were made in the speed of rotation.
CRS
First responders will increasingly come across vehicles with electrically driven equipment. The addition of these vehicles to the CRS provides the first responder with the proper information at the site of the accident, such as the deactivation procedure for the power system. That is why the July update of the Crash Recovery System includes the Scania adapted by Vlarotech.
