Improved vehicle selection for question mark in Crash Recovery System
Today’s vehicles have more and more Mild Hybrid, Hybrid, Plug-in Hybrid or electric variants. Moditech sees it as its responsibility to add all the different varieties to the Crash Recovery System. However, it should be clear for our users on how to select the correct model.
Several vehicle manufacturers bring multi-drive models to the market. Models that are equipped with both a 12 Volt Mild Hybrid and 48 Volt Mild Hybrid battery system. To select the correct vehicle model in the Crash Recovery System, we already made a distinction in Hybrid, Plug-in Hybrid or Electric.
To make the distinction more clear we offer the selection for our users at another step in the selection procedure.
When we take the Audi A6 as an example, we normally should have added the 12 Volt Mild Hybrid and 48 Volt Mild Hybrid in addition to the A6 Hybrid and A6 Plug-in Hybrid. The consequence would be that when a user selects the question mark in case he is not sure of the correct model (all possible variants), three batteries would be shown: the 12 Volt battery, the 12 Volt Mild Hybrid Battery and 48 Volt Mild Hybrid battery. This causes uncertainties for quick and safe deployment.
We have therefore added a selection process after choosing the question mark. Upon selecting the ? users are notified when an alternative propulsion system is possible. This makes the selection more consistent and the selected vehicle shows less optional batteries that actually may not be present.
